CPA Alberta’s Breaking Through Career Barriers is an open-forum discussion series aimed at supporting change and fostering learning. Each month, CPA Alberta’s Career Advisors and participants will meet to discuss a different topic around the barriers people face in their careers. Topics range from identity to life events and more—each discussion topic will fall outside the expected professional norms.
In February, the session will cover career barriers around parenting. Whether you are a mother, a father, a foster parent, or a primary caregiver, you may have faced challenges around your career and parenting. This is your opportunity to share your experiences in a safe and confidential space. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions to forum guest speakers and facilitators.
Non-parents are also welcome to attend and can gain a deeper understanding of the barriers faced by others.
