Calgary hosted the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Symposium in November, marking the Symposium’s first in-person gathering since 2019. Attendees were enthusiastic to network and re-establish connections with colleagues from across the country.
The morning began with informative and lively discussions, including updates from the CRA and the SR&ED Program, best practices and advice when undergoing an online review, and advice on navigating SR&ED disputes beyond a Notice of Objection.
In the afternoon, a Technical Case Study and a Financial Case Study were provided to participants. Both sessions were a great opportunity to brainstorm solutions and hear from like-minded colleagues on areas of interest.
