Are you the parent of a high school student? Maybe your favourite niece is in Grade 11 and starting to think about career choices. Or, perhaps, your significant other works at a high school and would benefit in being able to answer student questions on a CPA career. In any of those cases—or any others—let them know about the upcoming CPA Alberta High School Open House, with virtual sessions taking place on October 13 and 14. At the sessions, students, parents, and teachers can learn about the path to the CPA designation for high school students. They will get answers to questions like:
- What is a CPA?
- What careers are available for CPAs?
- What’s life like as an accounting student?
- What education needs to be pursued to become a CPA, and how does it get paid for?
