We’re excited to announce that in 2024, CPA Alberta, in partnership with CPA Canada, will host The ONE National Conference in Calgary on September 10 and 11! The ONE represents the profession’s only national conference for CPAs in Canada and brings together more than 1,700 business, accounting, and finance professionals in all sectors from across the country.
In partnership with CPA Canada, we are now seeking session proposals for presentations, panel sessions, and workshops for next year’s conference. The submission deadline is January 31, 2024.
The ONE National Conference 2024 is interested in presenters who will share cutting-edge ideas, lead engaging discussions, and provide an audience of CPAs, mid-management professionals, and senior leaders from industry and practice with an exceptional learning experience. As a conference speaker, you should:
- Have a high level of expertise as an acknowledged leader in your field.
- Offer a wealth of experience, with demonstrated credentials on your topic.
- Be a seasoned speaker who has an engaging and dynamic communication style.
- Be willing to share your knowledge and deliver a high-quality educational session.
There will be live in-person and recorded sessions. If your submission is accepted, you may be asked to speak on-site in Calgary. Speakers local to Calgary are encouraged to submit their ideas.
Proposals should be prepared with the target audience in mind: primarily members working in industry with a secondary audience of practitioners in accounting, assurance, tax, and advisory roles. Preference will be given to submissions of a technical nature in topic areas of financial reporting, audit and assurance, taxation, voluntary reporting, and other areas of strategic, compliance, and regulatory importance to the CPA profession.
Presenting at the ONE Conference is an unpaid speaking opportunity which provides complimentary registration to the conference. Complimentary registration may be virtual or in-person, based on the acceptance of your proposal.
