Acquire new skills and knowledge at CPA Alberta’s Peer-to-Peer Forum

Join CPA Alberta’s Peer-to-Peer Forum on innovation and technology—the place where upskilling and continuous learning meet!

There many different ways to attain new skills and knowledge, from formal learning through professional development opportunities, such as seminars and executive programs, to informal learning and development, such as on the job-training, and peer learning. Industry research suggests that learning from direct experiences constitutes approximately 70% of work-relevant learning, and another 20% is attained from social relationships.

CPA Alberta’s Peer-to-Peer Forums support Alberta CPAs in sharing their applied experiences and provide an avenue for building professional networks. Engaging in informal and social learning, as well as formal education, is best way to see results and gain immediate feedback. Benefits of peer learning include the ability to:

  • Explore relevant issues, focus on real-world situations, and tackle specific challenges
  • Build core communication skills such as active listening and providing effective feedback
  • Create lasting relationships and expand professional networks
  • Increase understanding of today’s business environment, making it easier to pivot

Starting in March, you can gain new knowledge and share your experience with colleagues at CPA Alberta’s Peer-to-Peer Forum on innovation and technology. Throughout 2021, we will be exploring the theme: Data Analytics Cycle. Sign up today!
