WCB Annual Returns are due—be prepared

WCB Annual Returns are due—be prepared

Employers, you have until February 28 to file your annual return.

If you employ workers, you must file your WCB annual return by February 28. This return reports your workers’ actual assessable earnings for the past year and your estimated earnings for the upcoming year.

Submitting accurate information ensures the right WCB coverage, the correct premium, and a fair and accurate invoice.

How to file

Starting January 1, you can submit the 2025 annual return by logging into myWCB and selecting File my annual return. The deadline to file is February 28, 2026.

If you are filing on behalf of a client, make sure they have granted you the appropriate access to file on their behalf.

A reminder about the personal coverage option

If filing an annual return on behalf of your client, please ensure you review their personal coverage option.  For 2026:

  • The minimum personal coverage for 2026 is $34,200
  • The maximum amount is $110,900

You can request personal coverage for your client on their annual return submission.

If you are declining personal coverage on their behalf, it is important that you relay this to your client to ensure they are aware of what this decision entails, such as affecting their eligibility for benefits if injured as well as their liability for workplace injuries.
