The CPA Education Foundation will be rolling out the second phase of its No Limits fundraising initiative, starting in September. This second phase will carry on the Foundation’s mission of supporting business and accounting education in Alberta by connecting aspiring Indigenous business professionals with the CPA profession.
The initial fundraising target of $150,000, over two years, is within sight. The funds raised thus far amount to just over half of the goal and have allowed the Foundation to do some incredible things:
- Establish six new scholarships for Indigenous Albertans
- Develop partnerships with key Indigenous groups including the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Alberta (AFOA Alberta)
- Help connect the CPA profession with Indigenous communities
