Do you know a high school student with the potential to shine as a future CPA who just needs a hand? Whether it’s through financial support or first-hand exposure to the profession, the CPA Education Foundation can give them a boost as they begin their post-secondary and career journeys.
As the charitable arm of the CPA profession in Alberta, the CPA Education Foundation offers a variety of scholarships and awards for students at all stages of their academic careers. The goal is to break down barriers to education and introduce students to the accounting profession, especially those who may not have personal ties to the profession.
Additionally, the Foundation offers unique paid internship opportunities for both high school and post-secondary students through its Sparking Great Careers initiative. These internships offer students a chance to work alongside CPAs while gaining real-world experience in accounting. High school students have until May 1 to apply for both internships and scholarships.
If you know any high school students who would be a great fit, encourage them to apply.
Employers interested in offering a summer internship position for high school or post-secondary students can reach out to Erin Schwartz, Director of the Foundation, at eschwartz@cpaalberta.ca for more information.
The CPA Education Foundation is the charitable arm of CPA Alberta. The Foundation promotes the accounting profession by providing support to post-secondary institutions, students, accounting educators, and special projects.
