We are continually evaluating our professional development opportunities to ensure we are targeting the needs of our members. We’re looking for dynamic, knowledgeable speakers to deliver high‑quality sessions for our professional development program—including conferences, workshops, certificate programs, and courses—for accounting and finance professionals.
What we’re looking for
We’re interested in presenters who will share cutting-edge ideas, lead engaging discussions, and provide CPAs with an exceptional learning experience.
As a presenter, you should:
- Have a high level of expertise as an acknowledged leader in your field
- Offer a wealth of experience, with demonstrated credentials on your topic
- Be a seasoned speaker who has an engaging and dynamic communication style
- Be willing to share your knowledge and deliver a high-quality educational session
Your proposal must include the following:
- Title of the session
- Session description (approx. 150 words)
- Learning outcomes
- Topics covered (for courses and certificate programs)
- Session format (length and delivery format)
- Target audience
- Presenter and session unique value proposition
- Speaker biography and contact details of the speakers
- Presentation fee
- Weblinks to past presentations

- Cybersecurity, legislation, privacy frameworks, and compliance
- AI, innovation, and digital technologies
- Strategy and performance management
- Data governance policies, standards, and frameworks
- Data analytics and management
- Finance, treasury, risk management, and governance
- Tax
- Audit and assurance
- Accounting and financial reporting
- Financial analysis and modeling tools
- Leadership, resiliency, and talent management
- Corporate culture and wellness strategies
- Any other topic deemed relevant for Alberta CPAs
