There are many CPAs and supporters of the profession making positive and lasting impacts in the community and profession who deserve a chance to shine. With over 26 years of leadership in clean energy, accounting, and community development, Heather Stephens FCPA, FCA has driven measurable change across Alberta. As Chief Operating Officer of Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA), she helped shape its mandate, overseeing nearly $1 billion in clean technology investments since 2009. These investments have advanced environmental goals while creating substantial economic benefits, with ERA projects projected to contribute $7 billion to Alberta’s GDP and generate 46,000 person-years of employment. Dr. Anup Srivastava, Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Accounting, Decision Making, and Capital Markets, and Full Professor at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, has made a profound impact on the accounting profession through his research, thought leadership, and educational contributions. As the only CRC holder in accounting across Western Canada, his pioneering work in digital technology, intangible asset valuation, and financial reporting for knowledge-based firms is reshaping the field. Tiffany’s promotion to partner at EY in 2024 underscores her exceptional expertise and leadership. A key factor in her success has been her dedication to mentorship and fostering inclusiveness, which has positively impacted EY’s culture and professional practices. As the National Chapter Lead of the EY Canada Pan-Asian Professional Network (PAPN), Tiffany significantly impacted the firm’s diversity initiatives. Under her leadership, PAPN’s membership grew by 587% in the 2023 fiscal year.
