Notice: CPA convocation ceremony postponed until early 2022

Recently, CPA Alberta informed successful CFE writers from the September 2020 writing that convocation activities will be postponed until early 2022.

CPA Alberta had hoped to hold a full set of convocation celebrations, including the stage ceremonies and the traditional black-tie galas, in the fall of 2021; however, there is still a lot of uncertainty about what the province will be facing in terms of pandemic-related factors. While fall is still a few months away, CPA Alberta needed to make a decision this summer regarding the logistics of convocation activities for the September 2020 writers.

We know that gathering with family, friends, and colleagues is an important part of convocations, and the uncertainty about how much of that will be allowed and advisable in the fall of 2021 severely compromises our ability to deliver the type of convocation graduates deserve and expect.

Our goal is to make the wait worthwhile for graduates and provide them with a set of convocation celebrations that they and their loved ones will remember forever. This fall, watch for more information and details about the proposed winter convocations tentatively set for early 2022.
