As professionals entrusted with safeguarding the public interest, Alberta CPAs consistently demonstrate leadership, integrity, and a commitment to the community. One of the most meaningful ways to give back is through volunteering. From November 2024 to April 2025, CPA Alberta is partnering with the Veteran’s Food Bank to provide support to veterans and their families in Calgary and Edmonton.
Why your help matters
Winter months, especially November and December, are some of the busiest times for the Veterans Food Bank. Many veterans face food insecurity and the demand for assistance significantly increases during the holiday season. By volunteering your time, you can help ensure that these veterans and their families have the food and care they need.
How you can get involved
CPA Alberta is organizing volunteer shifts in Calgary and Edmonton, and we need your help! On selected dates throughout the program, small teams of 5-10 volunteers will work together to stock and sort donations. Whether you have previous volunteer experience or are looking to get involved for the first time, every contribution counts.
What are the benefits of volunteering
Not only will you be helping our veterans, but you will also get to connect with fellow CPAs and build stronger bonds within our community. Volunteering is a great way to give back, develop teamwork skills, and be part of something bigger.
Sign up today!
It’s easy to get involved. There will be multiple volunteer dates available between November and April in both Calgary and Edmonton, so you can choose a time that works best for you. Volunteering just a few hours of your time can make a huge impact on the lives of the veterans.
