If you are passionate about learning excellence and enhancing accounting and business education, consider this unique opportunity to make a difference for the profession, students, and educational institutions!
The CPA Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks to strengthen the future of the accounting profession in Alberta through partnerships by supporting business education and students, and the incubation of innovative ideas. They do so by bestowing: grants to post-secondary business schools; scholarships and awards to students; financial support for accounting research; and programs to recognize and honour Alberta’s best accounting educators.
A position on the CPA Education Foundation Board is a three-year term that requires a commitment of 50 hours per year (officers may require 70-80 hours per year). There are up to four board positions to be filled for a three-year term beginning in September 2025.
Although all nominations are encouraged, desirable candidates will possess strong governance skills and experience and demonstrated capabilities of building relationships with potential donors. The Board is looking for candidates from across the province in all areas where CPAs and candidates currently reside.
