The Straight From the CPA’s Mouth podcast is back for season three of CPAs sharing their expertise and exceptional insights into the accounting profession with listeners all across the country. In the first episode of the season, CPA Education Foundation staff sat down with Christine Leung CPA to talk about all things accounting and celebrate her recent 2021 CPA Alberta Early Achievement Award. Christine shared about her work, volunteer experience, and her advice for post-secondary students and CPA candidates.
To receive an Early Achievement Award, a CPA must display exceptional service in the profession during the first 10 years of receiving their designation. Christine absolutely fits the bill, serving with organizations such as the Calgary Youth Justice Society and the Martin Family Initiative, where she mentors at-risk youth and invests in their personal and professional development. Christine is also a past Foundation-administered scholarship recipient, winning the Jazzit CPA Candidate Recognition Award.
Catch up on Christine’s episode and past seasons of the Straight From the CPA’s Mouth podcast here and stay tuned for the Foundation’s financial literacy series in November.
