Application deadline for CPA Education Foundation scholarships for high school students is May 1.
In 2023, the CPA Education Foundation awarded nearly $30,000 to Alberta high school students, which included four new Sparking Great Careers awards.
As the charitable arm of the CPA profession in Alberta, the goal of the Foundation scholarships is to help remove barriers to education—including those who may not have personal ties to the profession—and introduce students to the accounting profession.
In addition to scholarships, the Sparking Great Careers initiative also funded several paid internships for both high school and post-secondary students. These internships offer students a unique opportunity to work alongside CPAs, all while gaining real-world experience in the field of accounting.
