Upcoming May Chapter Event
The Grande Prairie Chapter of CPAs will be holding a meeting on May 18 at Seasons on Forty. Grande Prairie and area has had a Grande Prairie CA Club, a CGA Mighty Peace Chapter, and a Grande Prairie CMA Chapter, however, now go by the name of Grande Prairie Chapter of CPAs. Although their name is fairly new, the chapter combined all accounting professionals several years ago.

What they do:
- Meet monthly – usually the third Wednesday of each month at Seasons on Forty in the Holiday Inn, Grande Prairie ($20 which includes a buffet lunch). They do not have meetings in March and April due to tax season.
- Facilitate local Professional Development (PD) events for local members (Devaney Tax Updates, CPA Alberta presentation(s), Alberta Tax Update, CPA/Lawyer Assist, etc.)
- Host a Holiday Season luncheon in December
- Organize a CPA Convocation Celebration
- Hold an endowment fund with the local college (GPRC)
