The Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) is holding its September meeting of the IFRS Discussion Group in Edmonton on September 25. If your organization or clients are impacted by IFRS, make sure you attend the discussion group to have your voice heard! This meeting’s agenda will include implementation issues for IFRS 16 Leases, accounting for asset acquisition and other current topics such as the interbank offered rates (IBOR) transition.
The meeting will be preceded by a reception on the evening (5:30 – 7:30 pm) of September 24, being held at the Sutton Place Hotel (Winterlake Room). The goal of the reception is to connect discussion group members with stakeholders and raise awareness of the group. To register for the reception, email jmclinton@acsbcanada.ca.
The meeting is also open to the public. AcSB encourages all stakeholders to join the meeting as an in-person observer to network with Group members during breaks and lunch. Alternatively, they can also observe all or any portion of the meeting online.
