The proposed amendment to the Regulations, requested by the Government of Alberta, has been approved, with more than 80% of votes cast in favour. The amendment extends the review deadline of the Regulations from June 30, 2025, to June 30, 2030. This change is in anticipation of the forthcoming Professional Governance Act, which proposes to consolidate several professional regulatory bodies, including CPA Alberta, under a unified legislative framework.
