This International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, CPA Alberta invites you to step forward and embrace this year’s theme, Accelerate Action, as we continue to champion gender equality. While progress has been made, there is still more to do to ensure women can thrive at every stage of their careers.
At CPA Alberta, we are proud to be close to gender parity in the profession: a testament to the talent, leadership, and expertise that women bring to finance. But true equality goes beyond numbers—it’s about empowering women to lead with confidence, break barriers, and drive meaningful change.
In today’s evolving corporate landscape, women navigating the path to leadership often face unique challenges. From managing office dynamics to balancing personal and professional responsibilities, their experiences shape a distinct and valuable perspective in the workplace.
To support this, CPA Alberta is launching the Women in Finance: How to Navigate a Path to Leadership and Succeed course this April. Designed to strengthen leadership skills, this program helps women enhance executive presence, advocate for themselves and their teams, navigate workplace challenges, and coach others to succeed—all while leveraging emotional intelligence to bring greater empathy to leadership.
This course is for ambitious women seeking to strengthen their leadership skills in all areas of their lives and improve their career opportunities. By fostering inclusive leadership, we create stronger teams, workplaces, and communities for everyone.
